Ice forecast

The sea ice forecasts present sea ice concentration (%) and ice drift (knots). The forecast covers the Northern Baltic Sea and extends up to 48 hours ahead, with a 6-hour interval. The forecasts are produced using the SI3 sea ice module coupled with the NEMO ocean model. The model’s horizontal resolution is 1 nautical mile and forecasts are updated 4 times a day.
